We can’t believe it either - but Christmas is less than 100 days away. That’s only 13 more Fridays away (who’s counting 🙂)? As event planners, we know how hectic things can get when you wait until the last minute, which is why now is the perfect time to start planning. Getting ahead gives you the chance to focus on the details, think through your ideas, and create a holiday party that is one for the books!
If you’re tired of the same old holiday gatherings, don’t worry, we’ve got some fun ideas to help make this year’s celebration your best one yet. And if you’re short on time, our holiday party package page is full of easy, low-stress ideas that don’t require a ton of planning.

How to Add Extra Magic to Your Holiday Party
Holiday Characters and Photo Opportunities
With social media as popular as it is today, everyone loves a good photo opportunity! Consider bringing in Holiday Characters like Santa or Mrs. Claus. You can even have The Grinch or a Snow Queen.
Photo booths are another great photo opportunity. Adding on festive prop items is a way to make it fun and engaging. These photos will not only give your guests something tangible to have as a memory, but you too will have pictures to keep and share.

Interactive Activities
There’s always those holiday parties that are more of a social gathering with music and good discussions. Of course, that’s always important to have at an event, but if you want to spruce up the event a bit more, consider adding in some interactive activities such as ornament decorating, where guests can bring home their own ornament, a gingerbread house competition, or a festive DIY cocktail bar.
Festive Entertainment
If you love festive music, instead of a regular holiday playlist, consider having a live band that sings holiday music, carolers or even a DJ! Everyone loves live music and if you have a little extra in your budget, consider splurging in the entertainment area.

Atmosphere and Experience
Holiday decorations for a holiday party are a no brainer, but are there opportunities for you to step up your decor game?
Instead of regular lights, consider twinkling stars to create a more interactive visual. Design themed areas like the North Pole, or Santa’s Workshop to attract guests to (and also have as another photo opportunity)! Take a look at your current design plan and see where you can take an extra step to spruce it up.
